Imagine Australia's bunny problem, if they were the size of dogs instead of bunny-sized.

I want to apologize for taking the obvious-joke route.

Carry on.

Well, yes, they have to eat 2lbs of food a day to grow... but maybe the koreans think they'll be able to let the rabbits graze over weedy scrubland or something. God forbid a breeding pair of those fuckers escapes. They'd be running loose all over the asian continent and everybody would die.

Two points -

first - night out in the city - Soiled my trousers once; giants korean rodents- twice; inevitable yet needed Monty Python reference - thrice!

in the point interim - Copper you set rocks -

hopefully not being too tacky....

The rabbits are going to be filled with enrich plutonium and sold to various a-list celebrites bent on rescuing mistreatd animals in the asian marketplace. Once a sizable number of mammoth biological "dirty" rodenta have made it safely into the top ten of Americas cities - BOOM rabbit radioactive meltdown.

beware socialites! beware the big fluffy bunny.

Just get your little girl a pony this year.

Does it not occur to anyone--or do you just not care--that this is cruel>

Do you see the way he is holding the rabbit? Hanging by the flesh? A normal size rabbit can break the spine or neck that way, bot to mention it is painful and fightening.

Do you have any idea how these rabbits are raise? The conditions they live in?

I thought there were a lot more enlightened folk in the SG crowd.

You do not have to be an "animal rights freak" or vegetarian or anything else to see this is cruel.

But you know, it's not affecting you, so who really gives a fuck, right?

Those Nutty North Koreans!!! Someone might want to tell them Rabbit (even giant ones) wont keep you alive. From the sounds of it they will eat more food and produce even less food. I get it its the missing component from Rabbit powered rockets!!

Er. and I think that bunny might not only object to being eaten but might even kick your but!! Guard Bunnie!

If you think you can live on roast rabbit...forget it. There is practically nil BTUs in rabbit meat that will give you energy, and not much more in squirrel. (It's not BTUs but that gives you the idea of what I mean)....I like the taste of squirrel meat very much, but about all it does is take away the hunger, which is essential. The vitamins and such will give you what you need...while the rabbit and squirrel satisfies the gut.

I do not have one quite this large, but one of our big boys, Hoover, is 15 pounds. He looks HUGE, though.

He comes when we call his name, loves to cuddle and give kisses, and spends most of his day snuggling with his (spayed) girlfriend, Alaska. His favorite place is on the bed, sprawled out in MY spot.

The large rabbits have such amazing personalities.

Those things are so cute they just melted the ice around my capitalist heart...

So how does one go about getting a 20 pound rabbit? And what sick fuck looked at those and thought "hmmmmm.... dinner"?

If someone isn't a vegetarian, then they have no reason to be against that rabbit being held that way because no meat animals have very good living conditions. Most of them live either in a tiny box or with a huge crowd of other animals for their entire lives, until we eat them. There are very strict rules concerning the welfare of livestock and such, but they're definately not up to the standards of how we would treat a pet. But anyway, I just wanted to say that if anyone doesn't approve of that rabbit being treated like that, they pretty much do have to be a vegetarian to not sound hypocritical. I'm not saying these animals get treated well, because I have first hand experience in dealing with all kinds of meat animals and I know we do some pretty mean things to them. At least he's not slinging it around by it's ears, some people will do that because it's easier.

That aside, I'd totally love a giant bunny. If this doesn't make any sense, it's because it's 7 in the morning and I have yet to get any sleep today. Stupid insomnia.

God damn. I've been looking for a starter pet for a long time and this looks like the perfect opportunity. I'd be down with getting one, not for the meal purposes, but moreso for the hilarity purposes. Something that size that could run around and play with my parents' dog would be fucking classic.

FUCKING CLASSIC!

Anyone know off-hand where you can get one in the GTA area?
