CELEB: Parker Posey Ventures into Series TV with Pilot for Fox

Queen of the Indies Parker Posey is making a move for the mainstream. The original hipster actress, an alum of Christopher Guest flicks like Waiting for Guffman, Best in Show, and A Mighty Wind, has apparently signed on for a role in a Fox comedy pilot from the creator of Gilmore Girls.

It's a big move for the Posey, who has historically commented on how difficult it is for her to land financially significant roles.

The new series is called The Return of Jezebel James.

Roles that require unusual arrangements between siblings are not foreign to Posey, who starred in 1997's The House of Yes. Last year, Posey did a Pepsi commercial with Jimmy Fallon.
