wonderful little love story, but...

SPOILERS! (Click to view)

did anyone else feel cheated when all of a sudden, after the short scene with Lon where they're talking about what they should do with their relationship, Allie goes back to Noah and it's all happily ever after (till the present at least)? Or is it that 'love conquers all' crap I hear about?

I cried a lot the first time I watched it, and then forced my hubby to watch it with me, and the 2nd time around I was kind of 'meh' about it.

My wife watched it almost every day for a month. I think I have a valid excuse for hating it.

My ex-girlfriend went and saw the Notebook with a friend of hers. She came home and cried for like two hours. I pointed and laughed at her.

It was awesome.

hey, i'm admittedly the biggest secret sappy movie fan ever, and i have to say that movie wasn't bad until said part. that happily ever after copout shit sucks donkey. what really bugged the shit out of me was the cheese line at the very end. you know the one i'm talking about.

[edited to say: I was forced to watch it. seriously. forced.]

I'm torned with this movie.

It's the son of one of the greatest filmaker ever and the way he uses his mom in the movie, it's just a great hommage to her career and her relation with her dad.

BUT...the movie is not that good.

Not any more. She is an ex, after all.

It may have been because I pointed and laughed at her. One can't be too sure.

i liked it, and i don't normally like corny, romantic movies.
i thought that the entire cast did an amazing job.
(unfortunately, it is rare for me to watch a movie without feeling like at least one cast member acted very poorly or was miscast.)

That movie is one of my favorite. I thought it was one of the best love story ever. It made me cry so much just because it's too intense AND beautiful.

I should buy it.

I knew there was something not right about that girl.

I looked forward to that movie so much based on the previews and I hated it.

I know this is typical of most movies based on books, but I have to say it: the book is soooooooooooooo much better. I avoided watching the movie for as long as I could just because I didn't want to be sorely disappointed. When I finally did see it, it wasn't as bad as I thought, but I still really enjoyed the book more, despite my crushes on both McAdams and Gosling.

I saw "the notebook" with a group of girls and once it was over they were all hysterical and withdrawn. Me, being a crybaby when it comes to movies, thought I was going to be inconsolable too...but I thought the movie sucked.

When I made fun of the movie, one of them looked at me and shouted through her tears,

"Ivan, you're such an asshole!!!! WOuldn't you want that?! Everyone wants that!"

I was kinda scared. ha ha
