2006 was a illustrious year in music for many reasons, but certainly the release of Meat Loafs Bat Out Of Hell III was one of them. Meat Loaf and his longtime Bat Out Of Hell collaborator, Jim Steinman, were able to heal their wounds long enough to finish their trilogy.
Meat Loaf has been a cult figure since the release of his first albums in the early 1970s but it was his role as Eddie the biker in The Rocky Horror Picture Show that cemented his legendary status. Meat Loaf has had only middling...
Meat Loaf is the man. did y'all see Pick of Destiny? Meat Loaf doing a rock mini-opera about how rock 'n roll is the devil. i didn't know whether to laugh or bow down in worship.
Meat Loaf is some of the best music to crank up and sing anywhere. I'm always happy when I find a girl that will sing Paradise by the Dashboard Light with me. One of my favorite bar songs, if you can find a bar that has it.
Uh, his last album before Bat III was "Couldn't Have Said It Better" not "Welcome to the Neighborhood." Sorry, that mis-info bothered me. Afterall, Neighborhood was better.
Meat Loaf is definitely a favorite singer/performer (I own all the albums). Besides the Bat albums you gotta check out Bad Attitude.
Im a huge Meat Loaf fan myself, love a lot of his songs, so much I went to a concert with him a while back when he was on tour, the time right after his throat issues.
I can say this much, im really hoping this was because of his surgery and such because he was terrible on stage, his voice sounded so crap, he could barely sing and his background choir had to do all the pickup and keep it going.
The best way to illustrate how horrible it was ?, most of the crowd left 1 minute into "Bat out of Hell", could not stand to listen to it.
Don't get me wrong, im still a huge Meat Loaf song, just wished I had never gone to the concert.
