No seriously. I'm retarted when it comes to this stuff. Point in fact, I have no idea whether you're being sarcastic or not. I love Total War cause I get to hear the little fellers yell out Hastatii, Velites, or Principes, call me a history dork, I dunno.

So yeah, is Total War available on a console? Please don't laugh........

Or more importantly, what did you mean by that?

I'm not sure what you mean, but I'd never heard of Rome Total War until this thread. I've been a bit obsessed with Roman history, so the game looks majestic. If it ever gets rereleased for Playstation (or Wii), I'll have to pick up a copy.

Rome Total War this might just bring you to the Total War website... there are several versions, Medieval Total War, Rome Total War, and Shogun... they're like a mix between Civilizations and Ages of Empire type games...

Are they real time, or turn based?

Both... you build armies 'like' in civilizations, then when they 'encounter' each other you have the option to fight real time and control each division or let the computer resolve it. The latter choice I assume is for those types who prefer the strategic aspect.

i can't believe nobody's heard of this. I thought it was fairly commercial. I mean shit I picked my copy up at BestBuy for like 20 bucks (it is a really fun game though with very good graphics, in fact that's one of the reasons I want a new comp cause mine skips and shit when it plays the little cineamatic parts)....

Heard of it - never played it - afraid to get into gaming much - I can see myself getting sucked in. That'd be one I'd probably like, though.
