my mom does mine, well she did when i lived in the states... she is an accountant.
this year however, i did mine, and i will be getting close to 600 dollars back. or 4200 kr back. something to do with getting married, and having a baby.

Mine are already completed & filed. I do them myself. I'm getting a fat $1200 back from Uncle Sam. I am going to spend it on a vacation...current leading destinations are:

I always thought it was only the state you work in that is allowed to tax you.
Nope. If you work in one state and live in another, the the state you work in will deduct income tax from your check and if you're lucky the state you live in will allow you to take a credit for taxes paid to another jurisdiction.
If you're not lucky, they wont.... and you'll get taxed twice at the state level in addition to federal taxes.
