They already blow, straight from the factory. 
There should be a standard 1/8" stereo jacked cable coming out of the monitor and going to the sound card on your computer. Unplug from computer, and plug it into iPod/MP3 player/etc, something you know works. Check to see if the speakers are powered, like some Dells. They may be unplugged.
