I'm lost
June 2006

JAN 13, 2007 01:20 PM

Im a shower man but every so often have to break out the bath stuff and soak for a couple of hours with music, a book and ahem (sorry for this my fellow men) candles.....that last ones a bit gay isn't it.

Just had one and had one of those awsome little Lush bath cakey things which was awsome and read a bit of the Oddessy.

Whats are you then?

Depends on the mood I am in.

Showers daily. Maybe I'll take a bath once a week. Depends on what kind of time I have.

I far prefer bathing.

Showers, although necessary, make me feel like a wet cat.

I used to be a bath man, but always a shower now most of the time. But I do like to have a bath, more for relaxing. Baths are also good with someone to share it with wink

I'm a shower man. I like my maintenance to take as little time as possible.

I don't like baths because I can't stop thinking about the fact that everything I'm trying to wash off myself is simply going to be floating around me for the duration of the bath. On the rare occasion that I take a bath(for relaxation), I will immediately take a shower afterwards.

I'd much, much rather bathe. Immersing my whole body in the warm water instead of getting an eighth into the stream at any given time. And I have this thing about water in my eyes - no chance of it in a bath, but in a shower it's almost required. Alas, my apartment has a huge shower and no bathtub whatsoever, so I've adapted. Grudgingly. Then again, I'm getting tall enough these days that some bathtubs would be awkward to bathe in, so maybe it's just as well.

Showers...without question. To me...a bath is like sitting in your own filth. I can see taking a bath for the purposes or relaxation...like if you're already clean. However...coming home from a long day at work...I really don't want to sit around in a pool of my own dirt.

That's very Japanese of you, Cash.

What I do somewhat resembles the first part of the traditional Japanese approach.

...bukkake? confused

For getting clean, I'll take a shower, I can't really wrap my head around getting clean in a bath. But when I've got some free time and I'm just trying to rest my bones, there is nothing more relaxing than a hot bath and a book or a magazine.

Not to mention a pool of dirt that gets cold after ten minutes. Ick.

My bathroom has a shower only (I think they refer to them as '3/4 baths'). So I can't remember the last time I had a "bath."

I always flick my big toe to turn the hot water, reheating the bath. Simple and it works so thats one excuse out the window.

Showers generally.. baths as a treat. However it's rare to find a bathtub that big enough to be comfortable and clean enough to use.. although I had a fantastic clawfoot masterpiece at one of my first apartments.

Baths typically only occur when I'm hungover and having some difficulty with the whole standing thing.

HaHa! this reminds me of the fact that i once fell asleep in the shower back when i was in high school. i was really really tired (i am a chronic insomniac) and i sat down in the shower for a 'minute' and woke up only when the hot water ran out. blush

i'd rather have a shower, but thats mostly because the bath i've got is too small and i always end up with cold knees when i get in it.

Showers. I hate the water, so I like to bath by jumping in and jumping out. Not lying in a tub. Plus, tubs get all yucky!

You're one of those weirdos who thinks the invention of Febreeze means that laundry detergent is an obsolete antiquity, huh? wink

Oh, and anybody who knows me knows that I can't live without a bathtub.

a hot bath is just the ticket when I'm too drunk to lie down and go to sleep in bed. I've never met a bathtub long enough to be comfortable, but at least having to squeeze in there means my chances of passing out and drowning are a little slimmer.

I haven't taken a bath since I was a child. They are wholly impractical. Although I suppose if your intention is merely relaxation, they do serve some function.
