I'm sorry...what?

In Hawaii. People don't seem to like cheese. Just an observation.

I...I have no idea what to say to that. My version of heaven is made of cheese.

Or California. Because we have cheese and, you know, other stuff besides snow and the Packers.

Yeah. Other things. Like Californians.

There are vast swathes of California that don't have any Californians. Of course...there's a reason for that.

Yeah, it's one of many things that baffle me about this crazy state.

What kind of people loooove mayo and don't have an appreciation for cheese? whatever puke

That is pretty lame. But "The secret life of" on Food network was just on hawaii. Something about rice, and gravy and a fried egg. Shit looked good.

The Melting Pot is like the Red Lobster of Fondue.

Fondue is like the...Ikea of food.

My thesis is this: Fondue is nice for a casual dinner party or a whimsical culinary change of pace, but I would never pay money to eat at a fondue restaurant. Especially The Melting Pot.

Niobe, for what your meal at MP probably cost, you could buy like 20 fondue pots.

Yeah, loco moco = love Rice, hamburger patty, brown gravy topped with an egg. So freaking good we eat it at breakfast lunch or dinner.

And holy crap, they are opening a Melting Pot in Lahaina! I have no idea when I'll be able to afford to go but still, yay!

I still maintain my assertion that locals don't generally dig cheese. This restaurant is going up in a very touristy resort area of the island.
