Dita and Manson split!

Goth rocker Marilyn Manson has been dumped by his burlesque dancer wife after just a year of marriage, according to a US report.

Dita Von Teese was planning to have the singer served with divorce papers citing "irreconcilable differences", the New York Post said.

Sources told the newspaper she filed for the split before Christmas, but that Manson had been unaware of it because she could not get in touch with him.

A representative for Von Teese, who is the face for MAC makeup's Viva Glam lipstick and lip gloss line, declined to comment to the newspaper.

But John Demsey, group president of Estee Lauder, told the paper: "We're really sad to hear this.

"Dita has been the most extraordinary MAC spokeswoman."

The couple had been together for seven years when they tied the knot in December 2005 at a castle in Tipperary.

Representatives for Manson did not respond to requests for comment.
