For 38-year-old Kevin Russ, Christmas is ruined!

You can't release a woman like this from jail. Money should not be able to free a person capable of committing this crime. Apparently all it takes is a $50K bail bond and the most psychotic criminal in recent years is back on the streets.

A woman attacked a man in his genitals during a Christmas party, injuring him badly enough that he needed 50 stitches, authorities said Friday. Rebecca Arnold Dawson, 34, was charged with malicious castration in a fight early Tuesday at a party hosted by the 38-year-old man's girlfriend, police said.

While men try to catch their breath and shake the image of 50 stitches being involved in the safe return of their genitals, realize this: The fight was between Ms. Dawson and Mr. Russ' girlfriend. Dawson got so pissed at whatever Russ' boo was saying, that she went for Russ' balls. How can that be fair? That totally should have been cat fight time, but for some reason she attacked Russ' most prized possession.

Ms. Arnold was allegedly arguing with Mr. Russ' girlfriend at the time of the incident.

What the hell did Russ' girlfriend say?

Also, she didn't use a knife, she used her friggin' hands!

"I believe he needed more than 50 stitches to repair the damage, but he is back home at this point," police Cpl. Brad Stevens said. "All we can tell you is that the injury was done with her hands."

State law describes malicious castration as cutting off, maiming or disfiguring a person's genitals with the intent to hurt or render the victim impotent.

If this were a Batman comic, Arnold would be studied at Arkham Asylum, because this shit is friggin' crazy.

Ms. Arnold is being charged with malicious castration, assault causing serious bodily injury, injury to personal property, and malicious conduct by a prisoner. She will be appearing in court January 17th to face these charges. I hope the jury is all men.

Chief Powers said it best.

Chief Powers said during his years at the Harnett County Sheriff's Office, he has never witnessed anything as brutal as a castration incident.

"I have seen a lot of things, but I can't imagine anything worse than that," Chief Powers said.

He probably really deserved it! And it probably had absolutely nothing to do with the arguement with the girlfriend.

It may, however, be acceptable in Brockian Ultra-Cricket.

I don't see how this is surprising when rapists are released on bail all the time. I don't see anyone posting hysterical news bulletins about rapists damaging their victims' "most prized possessions" and being dangerous psychopaths.

I guess you'd say the same thing if the guy had badly beaten the woman to a pulp, right? "She probably deserved it".

If I were to have one criminal charge on my record, I would want it to be malicious castration.

I also like the phrase "attacked in the genitals".

I had no idea castration was a specific crime.

so it's perfectly acceptable to shrug it off when a man is attacked in a simular manner? double standards are a bitch.

She did it with her hands... her bare fucken hands... 50 fucken stitches... and she went straight for the privates.. That, my dear, takes someone that is fucked up in the head so i'm betting he didn't deserve that much pain. 50 stitches.. in the privates.. The guy was probably just defending his gf as i would too. I'd punch her senseless to defend my gf so fuck that.

meant to respond to susa62, though you were fairly dismissive in your second sentence.

No it's not acceptable and this is an exceptional incident. But rape is so commonplace we are immune to the damage it causes. People just turn a blind eye.

In all seriousness, an attack by anyone of a sexually violent nature should provoke an equally harsh sentence. Male or female.

There is a vas deferens between the male and female posts in this thread, that's for sure. Imagine how different this article would be if it were written by a girl.

It has always bothered me how pathetic guys get when their package is threatened. But I realize I probably can't comprehend the sensitivity of that particular area of the body.

That is just shocking, her bare hands, I doubt she took the time to pull his pants down so she somehow got through pants and I would assume undergarments of some sort, that is insane, I don't even know how I would react to seeing that probably just stand there shocked or sit down in fear frown

I think it's pathetic how women make jokes about this subject all the time. You know if the man had mutilated the woman there would be (rightfully) horrified people on this board. But when it happens to a man it's a cause for celebration and jokes all around. whatever

Huh. I guess I must have missed the news reports on each and every one of the 94,635 forcible rapes reported in the US in 2004 alone
(FBI Crime Statistics) That averages out to about 260 a day.

Of course, this says nothing about all the cases (both male and female) that are never reported.

Damn. Those must have been some pretty hefty newspapers to report all this with the same attention and concern given this situation. How on earth didn't I notice?

I have to agree. I don't understand why we can't just sit back and say: "Man, that's really fucked up."? Instead, we rush to fly the flags of the victim groups we represent. It's like when someone talks about slavery and then someone else brings up the holocaust. Why do we engage in these perpetual pissing contests of misery and turmoil?
