With the US on elevated terror alert for the holidays, airplane passengers are finding more and more of their personal belongings subject to security scrutiny. At Los Angeles International Airport last Saturday, a woman en route to Mexico put her one-month-old grandson through the X-ray machine, shocking onlookers. According to Transportation Security Administration spokesman Nico Melendez, the woman placed the child in one of the plastic tubs used to scan carry-on items and absentmindedly sent it down the conveyor belt.

"The lady obviously mistakenly put the baby in the machine. It was an unfortunate incident," Melendez said.

Perhaps she skipped her morning coffee?

Airport officials said it was an innocent mistake by an inexperienced traveler and only the second such incident there since 1988, when a baby in a car seat went through an X-ray scanner.

After security noticed the infant through their monitors they immediately pulled him out and called medics. An initial examination cleared the baby of any radiation damage. Feliz Navidad, indeed.

Can you kill a baby with x-rays? If so, cool. That's like...science fiction shit.

PaulNikon is clearly soft on terrorism. That baby could have been concealing dangerous explosive material and/or shower gel. The mother did the right thing.

I'm sure standing immediately outside the radiation machine is much better for you.

GILF.

I'd love to hit that shit. Hot or not. It's a security thing. If you knock that chick up, with incidents like this, you need not worry about paying childsupport for too long.

Booyah! smile

He'll be a mutant. He'll probably wind up with x-ray vision, or maybe see-thru skin and glowing internal organs.
