I am new to the boards....
Although something has been urging me to finally post a thread, (as I alredy have a group, and we already have our on 'little thread' on it...So I am taking a chance to try somthin here...)

Do any of you sucribe to the number 23?
Are you saying '23 what?" or are you just nodding your head.

At the turn of the century, there were books written about 23, and how it is a living entity of a number...You may have seen members in hee, I know I have, who have added 23 to thier name...and it isn't cause they were the 23rd person to take 'cheezy_poofs'. No....it is because they also know...actually? A better terminology would be 'they actually live by the number. Such impressive figures of ours such as W.S.Burroghs, Gebesis P-Orridge of Psychic TV, and the TOPY movement, which is highly based around anything and all 23...Brian Gysin, Brian Jones, H.R.Geiger...the list goes on, a cornacopia of illuminated and impressive, prominant people have all strongly believed and wrote about it, or included it in their art...you name it.

So...Without giving too mush away too fast...I am just going to say , If this is a new thing for you? You have now been told, and trust me...you WILL begin to see the number 23 alot more, and the best part is? It starts to make sense....you begin to see why people take notice, and any synchronicities, or what some people call 'Coincidences' happenning , always with a 23 associated with it.

I shall start the list with one of the best and first 23's we encountered and it meant something...

The Human Body has 23 genes.

There ar many facts, as I said, tho...it gets alot more interesting when you see one and it has a strange association, and that is what I hope we can do...get a really long record of where, and what, from all over the world, and maybe we just may be able to see just why people have gone mad trying to figure out the puzzle of the number 23.

I hope people start posting before it becomes fashionable...(well on its way there already)

Not to be overly pedantic or anything, but the human body has 23 pairs of chromosomes and approximately 20,000-25,000 genes.

I was born on the 23rd. I've always had a special bond with the number, but it wasn't until I was in college that I found out other people who have no particularly significant personal association with the number have all these ideas about it.

And then there's the part in that Blink 182's song, "What's My Age Again" where they sing, "nobody likes you when you're 23...." Oh my god! This prophecy/whatever is coming true!

I guess I'd pay more attention to it if there were 23 hours in a day (and yes, I know there are 23 plus 1..der her her).

I also see 7s and 11s but that's mostly when I drive by convenience stores.

Oddly enough, I remember reading somewhere that a day is actually 23 hours, 56 minutes and 8 seconds. So I suppose that technically speaking, there are only 23 hours in a day.

Although it is splitting hairs a bit I'll admit.
