I've never experienced that kind of loss, but if I were in agonizing pain like that... and were desperate for a way to *be* with my little one again, I'm sure it would happen. I don't think it's disturbing, I think it's heartbreakingly sad. frown

Interesting that you assumed it was the father that wrote that, as I assumed it was the mother. Anything involving children seems more maternal to me.

I assumed woman, too. I wonder why.

I can totally see ingesting remains of a loved one, as sick as it seems to our culture.
