My current pair of glasses are from LensCrafters, because they offered the best discounts. If you look online you can easily find coupons for either free lenses or $75 off the entire pair or something like that. However, I found that having AAA gave me the biggest discount, it was something like $92 when it all was said and done.
As far as lenses, I never much went for any of the extras. The weight difference isn't substantial, you're still gonna get dust and sweat on your glasses, and if the lenses scratch it's cheaper to replace than paying extra for the special kind. In fact, I did just that, when I scratched a lens a year or so ago I brought it in and within an hour had a new lens for less than it would have cost for the scratch-resistent ones.

I buy featherweights out of necessity because my glasses would be insanely thick otherwise. I love them. I also got the scratch coating and I've had my current pair for almost three years now and no scratches.
Me too. I would have to rock the coke bottles without Featherweights. My current pair have been great for 2 years.

After a 7 mile walk to LensCrafters which used to have a Kinkos next to it (which is where I was going to print out the coupon. Turns out it went out of business, so after going to Circut City and asking some nice fellas to print it for me (which they did) I had my coupon, which I didn't even use...) I got my exam, eyes are still the same, no worse no better. I picked some glasses and lenes and now need to wait for them to get to me! Huzzah, I hope they get there soon.
