Artist Makoto Ishiwata creates interactive sculptures, recently building a new device called "Vacuum Packing! Heartbeat," that suspiciously looks like a Vacbed (and pretty much does the same thing). His dodecahedron version, however, resides in art galleries with speakers churning out heartbeat rhythms, while the visitor is vacuum packed in rubber. Meant for self-reflection, and deep thought, the sensation of having a physical presence is nullified, and the feeling is rather fetal, unless you have claustrophobia and then it's just a terrifying affair.

If you are in Tokyo from Dec. 18-19th, you can have a look at the Tokyo Institute of Technology.

I wouldn't consider it “inflatable,” but this cool Website does.

That sounds awesome but yeah, I'm not even really that claustrophic but even laying on those memory foam beds is scary as fuck.
