I dont agree with Gibson's views, but goddamn i want to see this. And so what if i'm supporting him, a lot of other people worked hard to make this movie happen too, and a lot of them probably arent anti-Semitic assholes.

You could always wait till you can download it and never give that dip shit a cent. That's what I am planning on doing.

Sorry if this sounds a little rude, but isn't that just a poor excuse to pirate it?

I have occasionally had beef with Mel Gibson, and his drunken rants have nothing to do with it. Specifically it's his roles in endless anti-English films, but I respect him as a filmmaker and actor. I think this should be a good film.

...people need an excuse to pirate things? My excuse is that I'd rather not pay for anything if I don't have to.

I am going to watch this film eventually, I have heard some very interesting things about the production of it. Maybe wait for the DVD with the extras in it.

Also I will admit… Jews drive me to not only drink but also to smoke crack in the back of abandoned cars in Detroit.

Well it is England's fault that America was settled by Protestants, for that I think it's fair that England continues to receive jabs for all eternity.

I'm so sorry about all those phone calls I made to your home complaining about Mel Gibson; I was way out of line, and I apologize.

Stop assuming you know dick about the people who write these stories. Because you don't, unless I mistakeningly invited you to my last houseparty.

Oh damn, was that YOU on the phone a few minutes ago? wink

But seriously, barring the last bit about being bullheaded etc, which I understand was probably too confrontational (and apologies if you were personally offended), you failed to address the meat of my post, which is that critics seem to love the movie, and "overly-violent" wasn't really an issue for most of the current reviewers.

The majority of real reviewers are pretty united that its contrived, sensationalistic and generally shitty. As for his brilliant track record, He's directed exactly four movies. One of which you've not seen yet, and one was "Man Without A Face".

The "real" reviewers look pretty evenly split to me.

"The action is often cartoonish, and the dialogue - which is all spoken in some ancient dialect with subtitles - is often preposterous."

It's Yucatec Maya, you insensitive fuck. Ah, well...leave it to the journalistic prowess of a Fox News reporter to get all the facts on the story. puke
