I love them, and I would like to know where my best bet would be to locate them in quantity, relatively cheaply. My local grocery stores do sell them, but they sell them in, essentially, snack sized portions for about twice what you'd pay for an equivalent amount of, say, chips. This is not really an ideal way to go.
Lessee: I'd love to be able to shop at asianfoodgrocer.com, there look to be some really nifty (if confusing) food product there, but...5 bucks shipping on a 4.80 pack of wasabi peas...no thank you.
I'm not going to shop at Wal-mart, even for the firey lure of the wasabi pea, but it's interesting that they have them. A little more exotic than I would have expected. However, perhaps Target (Super Target, anyway), might have some. I'll have to check.
I'll also have to check the bulk food sections in Cub and Rainbow. And I'm not sure if I can get to my local Whole Foods easily, but there's a Mississipi Market co-op on my way to work, so I'll also have to check there.
I don't know of any "Shop Rite" or "Trader Joe's" here in town, and while I think we have Costco, I think it's not to be found in the central metropolitan area, which is where I'd need it to be to shop there. But thanks for those suggestions nonetheless.
And I had totally failed to realize that Amazon sold food now, but it looks like it might be a good fall-back point if I can't find anything in town. 2 and 5 lb options. Man oh man, I bet those'd last me a while.
Again, thanks for all the suggestions. And hey, if you know of a place not mentioned here that might be workable, doesn't hurt to suggest it, though I think I'll probably manage something out of one of these.

Hmm. Okay, so they do have 'em around here. Or rather, they have one, and it's a fair ways southwest of Minneapolis, which means it would probably take me at least 2 hours by bus to get there, if I could at all. That's just a bit much to obtain one (admittedly luscious) snack food.

Oh, but there's so much more to be found there! Granted, you'd have a hard time with all the bags on the bus, but if thousands of septugenarians can do it, so can you!

That's what I was going to suggest. Cub would almost definitely have them.

Oh, man! You live SO close to the neighborhood(s) I grew up in. Funny.
Anyone know where I can get just the peas, sans wasabi? I'm too much of a wuss for the spiciness, but I love those little peas.

Yeah, Costco's all the way out in St. Louis Park. Gah.
