I think this is probably one of my most favorites - but then again, I live where it's cold almost all the time (it seems like) so I appreciate layering.
And I've officially decided that I need to grow my hair out just so I can style it in those pigtail puffies. SO CUTE!!
Drop $300 on a pair of raw selvege jeans, $200-300 on some nice leather boots, and the rest doesn't fucking matter.
So, $600 per outfit? It better be the kind that makes a 1200 lb cow look like Daniel Craig.
Well, no. Raw denim is supposed to be worn every single day for at least 6 months without washing it. You break in the denim and it contours to your body and the end fade result gives a unique look. I wore these for 10 months, at least 6 days a week before I washed them. No, they didn't smell and no they weren't dirty.
I just picked up a new pair of raw selvege denim from Imperial and I'll be wearing this for about another year before I get a new pair. So, $300 a year for pants, $200-$300 for boots that will last you 5 years and then $15 t-shirts from American Apparel, with the occasional sweater and you're set!
must point out that the sort of denim snobbery as seen above is hilariously silly. Come on guys. Besides, everyone knows that the best vintage denim comes from Japan, because the US sold the original process denim machines to them back in the beginning of last century. pfft.
