Where do you get off calling me stupid? 1984 is one of my favorite books and I was merely suggesting that I am anticipating Big Brother to be in effect at any time now. The current technology for spying and capturing information on any single person the government feels should be "checked" is just a scratch to the surface of totalitarianism with no privacy and eventually no free thought. Bush is leading us to 1984 and I'm sure he doesn't even realize it. Animal Farm (also a great book) is what I thought of because of the animal attacks and Orwell wrote both Animal Farm and 1984 and I was simply making connections with true life and literature. Thank you for trying to bully me, but you didn't succeed. Better luck next time.

Yeah dude, they're out to get us...and with global warming the ice caps are gonna melt and raise sea levels and they're gonna be able to continue their assault further inland...we're in deep shit. Maybe global warming isn't our fault, it's animal kingdom conspiracy....cow farts destoying the ozone...so the icecaps melt...so water levels rise....people move inland...seacreatures attack and then we get caught in the midwest in a deadly crossfire... we'll be chased into the ocean by cow's and the like and then be eaten to extinction by the creatures of the sea....duuuuuude we're so fucked.

i'm scared that the second smartest animal on the planet might soon walk on land with spears to fuck us up.

On the whale thing, I don't think it was an attack. That whale could have torn him limb from limp but he didn't. I have read many instances where whales drag trainers/swimmer down by the foot and are just playing. They are animals after all. They don't know that humans can't stay under.

I watched a show on Discovery just last month about a huge and sudden increase in attacks on humans by elephants. It's happening not only in Africa but in India & Indonesia as well.

Also I read a story about a big increase in man-eating & man-attacking lions in southern Tanzania in National Geographic Adventure. I guess it's the animals last ditch response to being wiped off that the planet by the cancer know as the human race.

but in other news, wasn't there a drastic rise in elephant attacks on humans (many fatal, i believe) about a year ago? i heard it skyrocketed. even the trained elephants that people would ride.
