L-R: Luci, Page and Jersey Suicide.

Last Tuesday night the SuicideGirls were spotted getting their drink and dance on at the exclusive American Music Awards after-party, located at Shag in Hollywood and sponsored by Jinro. Photographers Mike Tarronas and Mike Tabolsky from the self-described “club hub” promotional Website InRCircle.com snapped some candids of the ladies looking lovely, as always.

meh, there's cool mainstream stuff and then there's lame mainstream stuff. it's the latter that's becoming bothersome.

Memo to SuicideGirls:

You must remain the background of society, only hanging out in dank bars that have the appropriate 'so uncool it is cool' vibe. You will, under no circumstances, become popular and hang out around anyone who may be a celebrity. Being in the vicinity of said celebrities will result in the immediate revocation of your right to be pigeonholed into whatever stereotypical behavior that we, as paying members, knowing nothing of your personal life or goals, wish to impose upon you.

Thank You,

I Paid For This?

i dunno, i feel like its totally fair to judge people, whomever they may be, for hanging out at places i deem to be lame (just like people can judge me for hanging out place that they deem to be lame, though they're probably wrong.)

also, the fact that "hey look, suicidegirls went drinking at a bar!" was posted on the boards is pretty stupid, but whatevs.

Since never being invited to the American Music Awards after party I don't know if I would go. However as a matter of fact, lame party or not, I have never turned down an invitation to an open bar.

I don't care about any of this... I just want to know why I slept on reading up on the GN'R Chinese Democracy extended roll-out. Had no idea that the SG Burlesque was part of the package. I just thought it was Sebastian Bach & Eagles of Death Metal. But, had I thought to keep abreast of site-doings, I would have totally been at the MKE show of this tour.

& then, I could know with certainty, that Axl can dance better than any SuicideGirl. (I'm not harshing... Just, that serpentine, it's hypnotic.)

Fine for the girls, but the problem I see is this: what if the girls are being paraded around in glitz and glam to put an edgy "newness" on events such as the AMA's? I'd hate for them to be used like this, and possibly--once their usefulness is extinguished--tossed aside.

Much in the same way I don't like the idea of Hooter's girls or Maxim girls showing up to liven up a party, but for them it doesn't strike me as such a contrast. For SG's though, I just have that sneaking suspicion they're a ratings tool.

I just hope they have fun with their 15 minutes (If that's what this is) and come out on top.

3 SG's at the AMA doesn't really seem like it would really affect the crowd that much.

You could also look at it like this: Perhaps if some SGs can become popular enough, get their "15 minutes" they could get a message across that not all women should be Paris/Lohan/Spears cookie cutters. You don't know about strong unique women until you see them.
