Suspension

Is anyone else here into / curious about / experienced in ritual suspension? I did my first suspension the other day and it has opened my eyes to an entirely new world. I havent seen anything about it 'round here, and wondering where all the "hangers" are.

Must be one helluva rush. I saw a vid where about 4 people made themselves into a giant mobile. Big fuckin meathooks through your back-skin. "Look ma, no hands". What a trip.

Personally I have swimming with dolphins higher on my peak experiences list. But I may get to it some day.

It scares the shit out of me. Im very curious though. Can you tell us what the experience was like?

How exactly does it open your eyes to a new world? I'm not being snarky or anything, I'm honestly interested. It looks like it would just be a world of pain. What do you see?

It's a new world of being two feet above the ground.

There is a long but fairly interesting read on BME where i posted my "experience". and i am not sure how my "eyes" were opened, i just know that they were, and that i am not alone in that.

I, for one, think it is awesome that you found something that you feel opened your eyes to something else. I wouldnt sweat the people thinking it is cool to flame you for being enthusiastic about something new. We all are enthusiastic when we find something that changes our lives. I know I am, and everyone else I know is too.
