all linkin park makes me think of is the time some guy came into my store and asked for their cd. i pronounced in lincoln park, like a bajillion other people, and he jumped down my throat and gave me this huge lecture about how to say it right.

While not a huge emo fan myself (and admittedly I have had only minimal exposure to it) the slamming it gets is the same I used to hear about punk in the early 80s when playing in a hardcore band. In fact, before I joined the band I completely missed the point on punk and akmost didn't join the band. I then would have missed out on a major leg of my life's journey.
