An emo girl is the female counterpart of an emo boy. These indivituals can usually be spotted at coffee shops, indie shows or on myspace. When emo-hunting, here are some signs to watch for.

1) Partially colored / dyed hair, probably obscuring most or all of the face.

2) Glasses, black horn rimmed, may or may not be necessary

3) Jeans that give a 'cute chick' ass, regardless of the sex of the wearer

4) Too many pins or buttons on everything

5) Excessive blogging

Special Myspace Only Tips:

1) Listen for Thursday, My Chemical Romance, Dashboard Confessional etc. when the page loads

2) Tiny falling skull and crossbones and/or black hearts

3) Profile pictures which reveal only 1/4 to 1/3 of the face, taken from above or below the head
