Now that everyone is sick of the “Who will play Janis Joplin?” debate, there is a new biopic on the table, also looking for the perfect starlet for the lead. Lindsay Lohan is reportedly trying to get her paws on the rights to the Stevie Nicks story. Lohan covered Nicks’ song “Edge of Seventeen” on her last album, and now thinks she has the chops to pull off the movie role. An insider claimed Lohan wants to produce the film as well.

"[Lindsay] says that movies like Ray and Walk the Line are good examples of the kinds of projects she'd like to do. She feels like she's found a dream role in a story about Stevie Nicks at the height of Fleetwood Mac's fame. Lindsay loves the music of that era, and [people] have told her she has the same distinctive gravelly voice as Stevie's."

Although Lohan doesn’t have the rights secured yet, she hit up ex-boyfriends to play the role of Steve Nicks’ boyfriend and Fleetwood Mac bandmate, Lindsay Buckingham. The actress hinted she would like Jared Leto to tackle the Buckingham role. Leto and Lohan co-star in the upcoming Mark David Chapman biopic Chapter 27.

"[Lindsay] keeps saying what a great team they are on-screen and that she has always wondered why [Jared] didn't have a bigger career."

Much like Nicks and Buckingham, Lohan and Leto used to get fucked up and bang each other. The only difference is Lohan and Leto didn’t fuck up one of the greatest bands of the seventies.

It's really not very good. She doesn't have a bad voice, but she has no breath control.

even though people tend to hate on her, for reasons i don't understand, i think she is a great actress and is hotter than hell. Her music though is somewhat mediocre, in my opinion. But i believe her musical ability could be improved on with work so i can think of no one better to play this role.

I love Stevie Nicks, but does she really deserve her own biopic? If so, I expect a Joan Jett film in the near future. wink
