In the southern Brazilian city of Passo Fundo. things are going interspecies. Eighteen-year-old Cassia Aparecida de Souza claims that the neighbor dog had his way with their cat, Mimi, sometime three months ago.
On November 15th, Mimi gave birth to a surprise litter of 6...things.
Three had the traits of a cat (and died shortly later), and three that held the traits of a dog (all of which survived).
A geneticist from the Passo Fundo University in Brazil is planning to take blood samples to verify whether or not the three surviving "puppies" are actually the offspring of Mimi the cat.
It surprises me that this has made the national media. (I don't know why, really.) Stuff like this is in tabloids all the time. If all you have to do to make CNN is claim something outlandish...
When we were kids on vacation, cruising Route 66 through Arizona, we'd see these kinds of things all the time. That dark-skinned babe with the jiggly fun-bags would charge us a dime to go around back behind the gas station and see her two-headed lizard-snake-creatures in jars, and blind albino cat-dogs, and other weird shit. 'Nice to know she's still employed.
Just jump on the old Mother Road, head west past the Sea Lion Caves and make a left at the Trees of Mystery...
