Tokyo has a plethora of weird shops and Shibuya's Nishimura is one of the most ridiculous. Here you can find fruit that sport totally deranged price tags. Watermelon goes for $119 and come in shapes like squares and pyramids, grapes at $18, strawberries at $26, grapefruits at $18... but apparently the prize catch is the innocent looking musk melon that will set you back a trifling $178. No one cares if they taste any good--the point is that they look good, and you can give them away as gifts to people you are trying to impress.

This makes me want to smuggle cantaloupes into Japan and sell them as muskmelons.
