Great Interview, Travis was so honest and to have a celebrity open up that much rocks!! Props for playing the drums with one arm...that is serious talent to be able to transfer the work from arm to arm and arm to foot and still produce the say beat and sound...WOW!!!! smile

were you trying to get into his pants or something?

shitty pop music? playboy playmates? paris hilton? reality television? apparently a few thousand dollars of ink can do wonders.

This is +44's page on MySpace. Beware: 1) their music player kicks on the second the page loads (loud speakers, omg), and 2) someone fucked up their page layout with a botched comment.

+44 is basically blink-182 part II, said so themselves. They said something in another interview to the effect of "we're 2/3 of blink-182...we sound like blink-182...no shame in sounding like yourself."

There's a pretty bad-ass video of Travis drumming one-handed (other hand in a cast) in their profile.

Great interview. DRE didn't hold back and neither did Travis. I kept waiting for him to duck or half ass questions but he just said what was on his mind. I'm impressed.

Travis rules.

Every interview I read of the guy, he's just down to earth and honest (as is Mark Hoppus by the way - such a departure from Tom "I couldn't stick my head deeper in my ass if I tried" DeLonge)

(+44) seriously rules too.

Their album is out tomorrow in the US and it's sounding even more Cure-esque than the last Blink182. Those songs just stick in your head and grow on you. You should check it out guys, I know a lot of people absolutely not interested in Blink182 would be in for a surprise smile

That is a great interview. Thanks, as always, DRE. I've never been a big Blink fan. But I ended up at THREE! Blink shows none the less. Each show was great, great fun. They always seemed to be having such a good time that I couldn't help but have a good time with them. Heck, I had such a good time at the first two shows that I even paid for the last one! lol Transplants were fun on Warped Tour as well. The Cure comparison (second time I've heard that) has my interest up quite a bit for this +44 album. I'll check it out for sure.

Care to explain that a little more? You can't just come out and say the was an asshole with out giving any context.

very awesome interview!
Travis seems to be one of the most honest celebs nowadays.
its awesome that he is so open about his life
i know, as a fan, it shows me how much he respects himself and those involved in his life.
i also love how he doesnt run around shit talking all of the people in his life that deserve a proper beat down...

oh, and if Travis does read these comments...

if theres a show in nj / ny ill be there in a heartbeat biggrin

Travis Barker is the man. He's honest and thats awesome, he can play drums with one arm, and yea I will admit that i was a huge Blink fan. What he said about the whole not being afraid to listen to what you want is what I am. Good interview DRE. biggrin

P.S. Hey Travis, if you're reading this, when blink started getting big, my step sister used to stalk you! she used to sit outside your house in corona. haha she's one creepy chick! (I told her many times to leave you alone, but she's psychotic haha)
