An “Internet It-Girl” created no interest from the folks at Wikipedia. The internet encyclopedia, which relies on user-submitted entries, deleted the entry for Cory Kennedy, a sixteen-year-old girl, semi-famous as an “intern” for The Cobrasnake, a random dude who photographs greasy hipsters at LA parties. She is also known as the underaged paramour of filmmaker Vincent Gallo. Wikipedia disagreed with the assertion Kennedy was an “internet phenonmenon,” and demanded she accomplish something before earning her own Wikipedia entry.

There is no evidence that The Cobra Snake is itself a notable website, or that the parties she attends are notable, so all the more there cannot be evidence that she is notable for being on The Cobra Snake or for attending parties.

If she's an internet phenomenon, the internet doesn't really seem to be aware of that.

If the girl actually sticks around, there'll be media, and you can rewrite the article about her then. Does it really hurt that much if the interweb's flavor of the month doesn't automatically get a Wikipedia article? There's something to be said for standards.

Kennedy’s reps declined to comment, probably because Kennedy is a sixteen year old blogger who doesn’t have a public relations team… yet.

If you’re unfamiliar with Cory Kennedy and her mealy-mouthed genius, check out this enthralling YouTube clip, in which Kennedy described why New York nightlife is "like, so much more . . . with it . . . in a different way" than Los Angeles nightlife.

I do so love Wikipedia! Imagine a site that actually requires you to accomplish something before you become famous! woohoo! what a concept!

Hmm, me thinks that bloggers are a dime a dozen, so, that doesn't set her appart. She's the intern of some random party photographer and the underaged paramour of Gallo? So? I think Wikipedia made the right move. SG is imo an internet phemomenon...a 16 year old blogger? Nugh ugh.

why? I mean seriously... why?

(not about Wiki - I'm proud of them, but about this girl's existence and its relevance to anybody important...)

Doesn't that go against the entire point of the internet though?

Well, if she ever does attain actual celeb status, they can use part of that clip as a "before" example for a ProActiv commercial.

wikipedia is actually run by a collection of exclusionist asses for the most part; they recently removed every flash game and website from wikipedia, with the exception of homestar runner, because "they didn't feel any of them were of note". the real reason is because they got in some kind of pissing contest with a flash developer.

Well, Wikipedia, why is your entry on Klingon as long as your entry on, say, Spanish?

Now that is rigorous policing of what is and isn't important!!

Ha! I was only guessing, but sure enough:

Wiki's entry on the Spanish language.

and Klingon Language.
Almost the same length. So sad.

The entry for the Klingon race is actually longer than the one for the Spanish people.

It's totally necessary to have an equally long entry for both languages. Have you ever tried to order off a Value Menu at a Klingon Drive-Thru?

Who is this nobody & why is she on my computer ? And is paramour a nice way of saying that Gallo is fucking her ? Cause if he is , why isn't anyone up in arms about it ? Not even her mother , apparently . Just way too annoying on all levels .

Asked to comment, Gallo - who stressed there is no sexual relationship between the two -

Sounds like shes doing enough other people anyway.

And this is creepy:

I felt it my social and humanitarian duty to take in any young, beautiful and sexy orphaned Jew teens running wild in Beverly Hills.

Ha! Ah-hahaha!

I have friends who haven't done shit in their lives who have Wikipedia articles about them. As far as I know, no one's deleted them. I think they just don't like her.

EDIT: I take it back. Except for the ones who actually did something, Wikipedia doesn't have all the articles on my random friends anymore. Still, though, I think they just don't like her.

I could not find a Wikipedia entry for "nonentity", but this is from the closest match.

Steincke attached importance to his idea, that the nonentities should be made unable to reproduce, both for the cause of society and his/her own children.

That sounds a bit facist to me, but I am starting to agree with him wink

always thought gallo was a no talent hack perv... now I suspect he's a child molester too, and I'm not one bit surpised. she just further confirms my belief that ALL children shold be sent off to Antartica at birth to be raised, only allowed to return to thier country of birth at the age of 18 when they can pass a rigorous set of tests to confirm intelligence and social behaviors... to bad breathing is an autonomic process

Give me a reason why she should be mentioned anywhere? Just because she goes to certain "cool" parties and hangs out with "famous" people she is of any relevance whatsoever. If that's all you need to be on wikipedia then anyone probably should have his own personal page on it. For once, taking stuff off a site is ok in my book
