Scarlett Johansson admitted she was thrilled to don costumes for her role as a magician’s assistant in the upcoming film The Prestige, but after a few hours, the corseting she endured wasn’t so much fun.

“The costumes are gorgeous and it was fun to be able to play dress up every day.”

“[The corset] made me feel very uncomfortable.”

“When you wear a corset for 12 hours then after a while you’re not feeling as fabulous as when you first put it on.”

While Scarlett looked hot rocking a corset in the film, she bummed out fans when she showed up for the premiere looking unlike her normal self. Scarlett seemed to have a bit of a hair mishap when she dyed her blond locks red, and ended up with an odd pink-shade. Her Grecian dress also drew criticism, as some claimed it wasn’t so flattering.

I can understand where she's coming from about wearing a corset for 12 hours... I mean have any of you worn one for that long? I went 6 and wanted to kill someone for the pain.

I liked her dress, her pose was unflatering though.

She looks hot whatever she's wearing... love

Christ, she looked hot wearing a cardigan, and that's not something many can achieve.

That dress is so so so horrible. Look at the poofs! It makes her look bulgetastic.

I think she looks classically beautiful. the puffy part around her waist isn't too flattering though. shoulda smoothed that out.

i think she looks like an ambiguously-pink-haired Greek goddess, pale in all her terrible glory, which is to say: mother frakking hot. classy and classic.

and to think of her in a corset....*shivers* yummy. one of the most beautiful women i've ever met loved to wear corsets and i've had an appreciation for them ever since.

too bad Scarlett didn't like it much, although i'd cringe to see a tight-laced Scarlett. her curves are too perfect for that, me thinks.

though i dont like the dress, i've got to say she has some of the best posture out there. so many young starlets are totally lacking in that important area.

as i mentioned, classy and classic...goes way beyond a dress and some pink dye. i've always liked her for her beauty AND poise.
