How did Irwin disrespect mother nature again?
He like, embarassed a bunch of animals. How awful.
Gimme a break, LcLgirl.
Whatever that wasn't the point but he did and now hes dead. You give me the break, I said it was my opinion and i didn't ask you to agree.
He was more than just the hunter we all saw on TV. He was more important in the conservation of nature than a lot of people, which is why I personally respect him. He loved animals and from the convservation work I've read up on him doing, deserves a little more respect than that. At least he made people aware. Fair enough if it's your opinion, I just don't agree with it. And say what you like, but the comment about feeling sorry for his kids for having a dad like him is pretty poor.
Again, I don't wish to start a cat-fight here, I just wanted to point out I disagreed. Tis all.
Oh, the costume? It's poor taste, but I suppose the stinger sticking out was good. Thing is, living in a country where one of our royal family dressed up as a Nazi at a costume party, a Steve Irwin costume doesn't seem that outrageous.
I thought he was a little bit of a dickface for the costume, but this quote:
I went as the Crocodile Hunter with a bloody stinger in my chest. People who really love animals understand if you get killed by one, chances are you were doing something to it you shouldn't have been.
That makes it official. It's one thing for him to defend the kind of dumb costume, but to take the moral high ground as well is fucking weak.

he pulled it out before he died. it sounds like he would have made it if he hadn't immediately removed the barb.
You'd think he would have realized that. Weird.
extensive knowledge of the animal kingdom is second to the primal human instinct to panic, i guess. i didn't know about the whole "pulling out the barb is bad" thing until a couple of days ago, and to think: he'd still be around if only he had remembered to leave it in.
