Secret Photoshop Agent and resident Fashion Icon zoetica often has the staff at SGHQ asking, "What's Zo wearing?" Her unique and eccentric style is a rallying call to those who suffer from mainstream malaise. Each week, she tells us how she's combined ordinary items to create her extraordinary look. Undaunted by unusual combinations, "What's Zo Wearing" is SG's answer to middle-of-the-road makeover shows.

Zo Says: I love layering similar colors. Adding a bit of texture, such as knits, lace or fuzz transforms a look.

You won't see me don much in the way of prints, but stripes and occasional plaids make appearances. Here, you might think I've gone mad because I'm wearing three different stripes, but it works because it's all monochrome, y'see. Don't be afraid to mix stripes - it can be done!

Hobo gloves are a vital wardrobe component for me this fall - conveniently, they're sold in most 99 cent stores in a variety of colors. Military issue accessories are a favorite, too.

coat - Forever 21 $50
Knit silver shrug - gift from Adriana Fulop of Plastikwrap.com - where one can find excellent future-fashion.
striped top - Ross $14
3/4 pants - Forever 21 $20
socks - Hot Topic $8
cherry platform wedge Mary Jane shoes by Demonia $30
bag - Maxpedition $60
gloves - the dollar store, again 99cents.

Zoetica Ebb is a painter, SG style technician, make up artist, alt. model, photgrapher & occasional cosmonomad. Born in Moscow, Russia, she was raised by a troup of gypsy scientists from space, who coldly sold her to an American technological research facility in 1992. After a daring escape, she graduated from the LA County High School for the Arts, retreated into the rumored underground atelier where she studied with the much-revered fashion guru Madame Von Kuntzertag, followed by a brief stint at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She's traveled the world, gathering fashion expertise and is thrice certified as official Finesse Monitor to the Khan throne. Olaf thinks that it's usually pretty pathetic, but some people can make it work.

Rudie agrees with Olaf's assessment, and believes that perhaps Rudie is not one of those people.

See, back in the day I could make an Alice in Kazakhstan joke here and it would mean the right thing - gray and colorless and Soviet. Fucking Borat.

I really like the coat, but I'm bothered by the redundancy of a belt worn with suspenders. It's like they cancel each other out.

Ah, but the suspenders aren't actually being used to suspend anything.

I see that the photos are by Helen Jupiter, but I see no reference that the article was, nor any of the portions that talk about you in the third person were, written by another. This combined by the fact that you are the one posting it, makes it appear as if you are referring to yourself in the third person.

Having said that, I do think you look fab smile

I'm definitely of the belief that even if the suspenders are not being used a belt should probably not be worn.

With that said, the outfit, the pictures, and the model are all quite charming.
