Realizing that the activity I most look forward to is napping.

Socks and underwear being my favorite presents at Christmas.

Not wanting to run to the toy aisle any more.

Thinking Wheat Chex cereal is, by far, the tastiest cereal on the market.

Popping at every step taken on a flight of stairs.

Having to skip material when teaching because I realize at the last second that the students may not know who Nixon is.

Seeing kids wear Nintendo-branded shirts that say "old school" on them... fuckers, that's new.

As my grandpappy used to say, "Boy, some fools will tell ya that yer only as old as you feel. But that's horseshit, yer really only as old as the woman you feel."

What a hoot grandpappy was.

Ever get wise-ass older people who tell you "oh, you're too young to have arthritis" when you wince in pain?

I had a friend who was pretty much crippled with arthritis by the ripe-old age of 16, so the "you're too young" pooh-poohing always gets on my nerves.

Teenagers make me feel old. Since when did girls wear heels to school? I never once saw that when I was in school. It creeps me out.

Text messaging makes me feel old.

Those 1980's nostalgia shows on VH1 - "Remember the Eighties" or "Totally Eighties" or whatever... They'll mention Pee Wee's Big Adventure or Alf, and I'll think of how muched I loved those things.

My brother will graduate from high school this year.
Watching my boss's teenage daughter and her friends decorate the store windows for Homecoming and realizing that you didn't really have to be high or drunk to think things were really that funny...
Always being the DD when my friends go out, because I have to work the next day anyway.

And I'm only 23. Life sucks sometimes.

Finding grey hairs has become a fairly regular occurence. Getting up off the floor creates a symphony of popping, grunting, and swearing. The freshmen at my school were three when I was their age.

Along that line, sort of . . . Facebook makes me feel old. (Lame, I know, but it does.) Those fuckers are in college? They were born in 1988!

Actually, just not being in college anymore makes me feel old.

I suppose still being in college would make me feel older, though.

~ I started turning getting greys 7 years ago and my dad didn't start getting greys until he was 45.

~ When I try to get out of bed in the morning and the pain is unbearable I have to sit on the side of the bed until my back releases.

~ When I try to walk after sitting anywhere and my ankles nearly give out (probably comes from breaking an spraining them at least once a year)

~ The cracking in my fingers, knees and hips.

~ Hearing that my friends' sisters whome I used to babysit are in middle and high-school, and some even graduated and married (just went to the wedding of my friend's little sis two weekends ago)

~ When kids get all excited about turning 21 so they can drink legally and realizing that by the time I was 21 I was bored of drinking alcohol an pretty much stopped

~ Carpal Tunnel

I'll leave it at those for now. I feel old a lot
