How D-list does a celeb have to be to eat dog food at a press conference? Nicollette Sheridan, Linda Blair, and Annabeth Gish signed up to do just that as part of Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger’s new California incentive, “Dine with Your Dog Day.” The sadistic governor teamed with Dick Van Patten’s dog food company, Natural Balance, to promote just how damn delicious dog food can be.

A spokesman for the project claimed it’s all good, because the dog food is more like “stew” than puppy chow.

"Dine with Your Dog Day" spokesman Daniel Bernstein says, "It's a fun initiative aimed at raising funds and awareness for state animal charities like Linda Blair's animal rescue group. The stars won't actually be eating dog food. Natural Balance's meals are like stew."

I think it may just be an excuse to watch celebrity attention-whores eat dog food at the Hyatt.

Does it really matter if dog food tastes good or not? My dogs chew their own shit for fun.
