I've been a chocophile for about 5 years. I'm not sure how much I've eaten, but I have 50 new types I have eaten this year so far smile

My favourite is Venchi 75%. It's dark of course. Italian. Not sure of bean origin, but it is an incredible creamy bar for such a high precentage. You can buy it at many of the specialist online chocolate retailers - not the supermarket. It's not expensive compared to some gormet chocs, about £3.50 for a 100g bar. Expensive I guess compared with Cadbury, but this is way more rewarding, you eat less, need less and it is good for you (and contains very little sugar or bad fats compared to shite bars).

Thought maybe y'all might be able to help me find some cool new chocs - add a photo if you can...

Oh yeah, and please no-one say Cadbury Dairy Milk. There is so little cocoa solid in it that the Eurpean Union is trying to make them call it Vegelate (it's all vegtable fats...) I know a lot of people eat it, but it's not chocolate. Try real chocolate and you won't go back...

I agree that it's nasty chocolate, but this thing about the EU and vegelate is a lie.

i love cadbury dairy milk. it's even almost exotic when you're in america.
but anyway this is lovely:

and i quite like

but i'm getting sick of it since people figured out i like it. everyone gives it me for presents.

anyway i actually don't like chocolate all that much. i'm more of a salt addict.

I don't know nothing 'bout no fancy chocolate, but I like these:

Though they're not really a "bar," per se.

Especially the cappucino kind. Good Lord.

I'm usually a fan of Lindt, too. The various truffle things tend to be good.

OK - so the Vegelate thing is a lie. It was in the press a lot here (as you probably know). I believed. I'm stupid. Found the truth on Wiki (what a great resource). Vegelate

Sorry....

At least you know the names of the good stuff... lot of mmmm... candy bars being propsed as chocolate.

Oh yeah. Finding one of these in Australia is like striking gold. Definitely my favourite candy.

I miss getting damn near a pillow-case full of those every Halloween like I used to... frown
