The man behind "Beetlejuice" and "Edward Scissorhands" is taking the leap into the 3 1/2 minute microcosm of music video directing. The lucky recipients of Burton's time and talent are The Killers whose new CD "Sam's Town" was released October 3rd.
Burton fans should be pleased, as it sounds that the video for "Bones" will be chock full of Burton-y goodness: miniatures, skeletons, and animation all meshed with a Las Vegas flavor to make Sin City's favorite sons feel right at home.
"We've shot all our parts and now the video is being worked on. It's going to have computer graphics and models ... we're not really sure how it's going to turn out. Usually we go over the treatment with a fine-toothed comb and have a lot of influence, but this time we just let Tim do his thing."
The Killers begin a month long tour of the U.S. and Canada tomorrow in Los Angeles, and Tim Burton is currently in pre-production on the film adaptation of the Broadway show "Sweeney Todd", starring -

Must be something to them though if a creative genuis like Tim Burton wants to work with them. I'm sure he wasn't hurting for the paycheck...
