It opens in Canada on Friday, but I can't find anything about a US release 'cause it probably won't be showing here. I looked into airfare from SF to Vancouver, but I'm not willing to spend that much right now, so I won't be able to see it in theaters unless I can convince my friends that we can take turns driving and sleeping, and even I don't like that idea. Can anyone in Canada tell me what the buzz is like? Are you planning to see it? Do you think it will sell out theaters? Are you making bootleg copies? Can I crash at your place for a day or two?
Oh, sweet mullet haired Jesus... I'd heard /nothing/ about this... I so rarely get to see the episodes on CBC. Maybe I'll see if the alternative theatres have it... I really don't want to border hop.
It's gonna be fuckin' awesome. Showcase has been airing behind-the-scenes specials for both the movie and the show all week. It looks awesome. Different look though, as it's shot on 16mm.
I'm planning on getting drunk as fuck and watching it on opening night.
