I predict an early end to this series.....

Early end? It's been on for years. Survivor was the first, you're stuck here, alliance, vote people off, reality show. Thanks to Survivor, we know have all those Reality competions (Big Brother to name one)

No, I am not a fan of Survivor. I did watch the first two episodes this season, and today I was merely reporting the story that was covered by the AP, CNN and every other major news outlet. Sorry if it doesn't agree with you.

You're missing a great show. The CNN link would have been great in your link-less article.

'Lost' premieres next Wednesday! Don't forget to tune in.

PS - 'excrutiating ' is not a word. I think you meant 'excruciating'.

I've never watched an entire episode of Survivor.

I thought about watching this one because of the controversy, but pretty much forgot about it.

Ummm...they filmed the show a long time before the controversy. The combining of the tribes had NOTHING to do with the contoversy, for real. . . That was always the plan. Do you really think they film these shows live or something?

Also, your CNN link says absolutely NOTHING about them combining the groups because of protests. Why is it so hard for people on the internet to just say "Hey, I guess I was wrong about this one?"

Last year, they divided the groups into four categories (by age and sex) and combined those groups into two tribes after ONE show.

I'm a Survivor nerd, and it's pretty pathetic I admit, but you're just wrong about this one.

None of the major new source made the connection you did.. from rreading.. in fact the Boston Herald actually said that it coudn't have been because of the controversy (or at least not directly) because the show is filmed so far in advanced..

It was most likely a ratings stunt and they new before hand it was only going to last a few episodes to avoid any major backlash.. You made an uneducated connection that if this were a real news source, and you had to maintain any Journalistic integrity, you would have failed horriably in this case..

Note to SG staff - your editors need to start doing some, even a little bit of fact checking... that is two articles in 24 hours that are have factual errors, and/or incorrect conclusions

I'm starting to wonder about how many of these articles are completely full of shit.. I realize that there is some sarcasim and tounge in check happening.. and there is certianly no unbaised posting.. but rename the section from News to Rumour Mill or something..

saying this country has problems and isn't perfect is not NEARLY the same as saying 'I hate America.'

just so's everyone knows, being a conservative and even a republican does not mean i support the current administration. but bush's problems is not that he's evil, he's dumb, and he relies on people who, for whatever reason, have steered this country the wrong direction. that's not to say that other presidents haven't been guilty of similar things or that EVERY thing that bush has done is wrong or bad.
that said, what the fundamentalist muslims uinderstand and respect is force and that is what he is showing. the situation in iraq has been exacerbated by the fact that the american armed forces was not given the manpower to truly take over iraq. that falls mainly on rumsfeld, who should be the real object of liberal ire.

It speaks very highly of your intellect that you post this in a thread about a reality show.

and i don't think you're allowed to hate america until you've lived somewhere else for a few years.

it always reminds me of teenagers who "hate" their parents. get a little perspective, move out of mom and dad's house* and see the big bad whole world a bit before you carry on with the whiny drama.

and about the "good ole days"..um..you know people immigrated to america for a reason right? so they could have opportunities that WERE NOT AVAILABLE where they come from. people still do it this very day! so yeah, america must not be comparatively ALL that bad for some people of the world, right?

i didn't even feel like seperating the teams by race was such a big deal. hell, the teams didn't even cater to conventional stereotypes. the thing that amazed me was how lazy, uncoordinated and petty the white team was. i was rooting for the asian team the whole time.
