Eric Shanower has taken on one of the biggest jobs in comic books: the comic book serialization of the Trojan War called Age of Bronze. Before he undertook this massive responsibility, he created his first major work, creating new stories based on L. Frank Baums Oz books. Now IDW Publishing has reprinted the majority on his Oz work in a beautiful edition called Adventures in Oz.
the art in the banner looks really cool, does anyone know how big a segment of that oz comic is black and white. (ie is it like manga's where only the first few pages are coloured?)

none of it is b & W
There was a black & white Oz comic book for a while, that took place several years in the "future," where the Scarecrow had turned into an evil dictator, and modern 20-something kids had to stop him. That's entirely different from Shanower's work, though.
When I was in 5th grade, I started writing an Oz book. I wrote about 15 pages before I quit...
Eric Shanower is a god, simply put his work is amazing.
Whether it's his work on Oz, Age of Bronze, or Prez with Brubaker, or An Accidental Death. You can't go wrong.
I read Age of Bronze as a sophomore in high school. His graphic novels took my breath away. I never got past the first few, but I did make a scene at the comic book store when I saw there was one I hadn't read. I look forward to the next 15 years!
