Last month he was known for painting a realistic depiction of a naked man on a wall in Bristol, England. Last week he was famous for replacing 500 Paris Hilton CD's with his own single entitled, "Why Am I Famous?"
Now British "guerilla artist" Banksy has infiltrated the most sacred of all, Disneyland. He successfully deposited a life-size statue of a Guantanamo Bay prisoner inside Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. As everyone knows, Banksy picked the lamest possible ride for his art, and thus should be judged harshly by the critics en masse. Don't fall for his trickery, America!
I'd be surprised if he isn't being watched closely by the US government. If someone can plant a statue like that, what's to stop someone from planting a bomb?
I'll tell you this much, if I saw a Guantanamo Bay prisoner mannequin in Disneyland, my life would be altered completely. It'd make me a better person, sure enough.
Banksy's daring and entertaining as hell, but with the Paris Hilton stunt and now this he's hardly showing himself to be on the cutting edge of social commentary.
I mean, her album sold no copies at all. Clearly, we're already aware that she has no talent.

if I had a reason to defend him artistically, I'd probably say he was more likely commenting on the fact that she's got a contract and major distribution at all. but it's not like I know the guy.
