CELEB: Anna Nicole Smith's Son Found Dead

In a heartbreaking turn of events, hospital employees found Daniel Smith, Anna Nicole Smith’s 20 year old son, dead in a hospital in the Bahamas. Anna Nicole gave birth to a baby girl on the island a few days earlier and Daniel traveled to the country to visit his mother and his new 6 pound, 9 ounce sister.

Police declined to comment on the investigation, and Smith’s attorney said the family does not know the cause of death.

how come people all turn into amazing human beings after they die, i wish they'd master that they croak.

When you die, I'm sure no one will accuse you of being amazing.

Nobody's accusing this kid of being the reincarnated Buddha or anything, but now, he's gone, period. It's not that we think he's amazing, it's that he's never going to have that chance.

The awful thing is... the first thought that went through my mind is 'it must have been a drug overdose.' Even tho I am not fond of Anna Nicole, my heart goes out to her.

That is really sad. Losing a kid has to be one of the hardest things a parent could go through. And ya know what, even if he did die of a drug overdose, it is still fucking sad. I have had family OD, and it doesn't make their death any less painful. In fact, it can make it worse, knowing that they had a problem big enough that all the support and love in the world wasn't enough to keep them from self-destructing.

Should it matter more to me that he is dead because she is a celebrity? No, but I feel just as bad hearing on the news that someone died in a car wreck overnight, because somebody out there just lost someone important to them.

as big a mess as anna is/was...to lose your first child, jesus. i had hopes for the kid when i saw him on her reality show. how the fuck do you live down that tragedy (of a show)?
