CELEB: Shocker! Druggies Don't Make Good Tenants

Adding to his considerable problems, Pete Doherty is now homeless.

The rehab regular and occasional musician has been evicted from his London apartment for owing more than $19,000 in rent. He also left the place looking a little worse for wear. Calling Doherty the "worst tenant in history," his landlord says the walls are splashed with graffiti and blood, and the floor is littered with used syringes.

Odds are good he won't be getting that security deposit back.

While I was living in the UK, it seemed like there was always a huge hype of this guy's music. I've listened to it. It's good, but also pretty forgettable. So, I think he's a joke. Funny thing is, if he toned it down a lot, he might actually be a great musician.

He is really talented, and an ok guy too. Also the best looking man in rock.

this guy is like your best friend's lame joke that they tell all the time and you always have to listen all the way through just cuz there's like one new person nearby and they insist on hearing it.

I'm starting to feel old. This site seems to mention this fellow on an almost daily basis--and I have no idea who he is.

I'm with you starguitar. I have no idea why this guy gets so much press here. Hey, one of the homeless dudes in my neighborhood (the one with no teeth) has a new girlfriend and I saw him drinking a different brand of malt liquor. Maybe that should be headline news here on SG.

I've never heard of this band Babyshamble's or whatever they are.
Someone should tell him that Sid Vicious has already done everything he is doing and well he did it better.

The Libertine's were a great band. Doherty is an excellent musician and it's frustrating that he's also a complete fuck-up.

I can't believe nobody's defending his talent. Don't defend his fucking lifestyle, no doubt, because YES, he's a total fucking idiot. But at least check out The Libertine's music and some of Babyshambles stuff.

It's brillant. Mostly just The Libertine's stuff, ya. But brillant anyway.

I wish he'd clean up and put out some more stuff.


Sid Vicious was a terrible musician and a waste for all his "career" so there's not much to compare there.

They both just need(ed) a big hug and a few years of intense therepy.

The best looking guy ON rock maybe....and even then....bah, who are we kidding; he looks like E.T. with a hangover.
