I may have interviewed The Residents the other day, but one can never be sure. I spoke to Hardy Fox who is a founding member of The Cryptic Corporation, a company created in 1976 to help the band. He may or may not be a member of The Residents, but the people of earth will never know. One thing we do know is that the Residents have always broken new ground and continue to do the same in the 21st century with podcasting. You can now purchase The Residents serial radio drama, called River of Crime,...
one time at 1:45 a.m. i saw them on the television telling a story about elvis sponsored by alcohol and dave sanborn ( that last bit was kind of embarasssing, but it's undeniable. )
htey were mostly eyeballs at that point.
i believe in the residents
i have followed the residents since 1977, i bought my first album, fingerprince, i didnt know what to think, i was puzzled, and i continued to buy more to see what else they do! I am a FAN!! thanks for the interview with Hardy Fox, i met him on the wormwood tour at the chicago show, cause i know the Goatboy!! thanks!
I bought their "13th Anniversary Show - featuring Snakefinger"
recorded live in Japan in 1986. I've never found a reference on
the net to it yet and am desperate to have someone convert it to
a CD for me. (Any Sydney locals want to make a dollar?)
Aww The Residents, they strike a chord deep in my soul that goes back to childhood or some lost and soon to be recovered memories of psychosis. Wonderfully inspirational, I couldn't paint without them.
