It was right in 2001.
Ford, Carter, Reagan, Bush I, Clinton and Bush II

The question is wrong, though. There are two other periods with six living presidents (including the one in office at the time). There had never been more living than there were at the time, but there had been an equal number.

7 out of 8 if your correct their mistake on the presidential one. I missed the one about Mary Tyler Moore.

8/8, I actually made the assumption that I needed to answer that question as if it was 2001. Which may have been the only part of this test that remotely tests intelligence

It kind of annoys me that people use informed interchangeably with intelligent. I know a guy who can remember almost anything he has ever heard, seen or done. You can pick any date since he was around 8 years old and he can tell you what happened on that day. In his personal life and in the news. But he isn't very smart. He can't figure things out. If you tell him the answer to something he will remember it. But try to explain how you arrived at the answer and he usually won't get it.

That being said it doesn't surprise me that most people on here are more informed than all 5 2001 contestants. That doesn't mean we are smarter.

I'm pretty sure I only knew this because I myself am a diabetic. I don't know why anyone else would know this.

I remember thinking when I answered that one that nayone who wasn't alive during the 60s/70s probably wouldn't get it. It just doesn't seem like something that would be covered in much detail in say history class. When I was little I actually grew up next to a bunch of people who had been peace corps volunteers. As an adult I have not encountered anyone who is or has bee one.
