The prayers of millions of music fans have been answered - Jessica Simpson has been forbidden to sing. Under doctor's orders, the popster must rest her voice or risk losing it.
"It is true that she has indeed lost her voice," Simpson's publicist, Rob Shuter, told The Associated Press on Tuesday. "She's been ordered to rest. She can talk, she can croak out a few sentences. She sounds a little off, but, you know, she can't sing."
Simpson, 26, fell ill Friday and has "a strain, a bruise on her vocal cord," Shuter told the AP.
Simpson has been forced to communicate using old-fashioned pen and paper. This puts a temporary kibosh on her promotional blitz for her new album A Public Affair.
For now, Simpson has been forced to fall back on her other talent: looking pretty.
I sincerely don't think she's very attractive. I can't think of anything she sings or if I've even heard her music before, but it's a safe bet that if she didn't look like a plastic surgery she-male pinup, she'd be no more popular than the 300 lb lady in the church choir.
