Ever since we first heard her utter the words, "You're terminated, fucker," we all knew we wanted to be a little like Sarah Connor. She was a hardass with a heart of gold, and now she's coming back into our lives. As Comingsoon.net reports, The Sarah Connor Chronicles has been greenlit by Fox, with go-to TV pilot director David Nutter attached.
Casting on "Connor" will begin immediately, with filming expected to commence early next year in New Mexico....
The new installment in the "Terminator" franchise revolves around Connor and her savior son, John Connor. The series will explore what happened to Sarah Connor after the end of Terminator 2: Judgment Day, when the character went on the run.

sounds a bit boring since she was unaware of skynet's continued existence, free of any terminators coming after her or anything like that.
wouldn't it just be her going around being a militant nutjob to her son while only linked to the terminator movies in name?

Not to mention the fact that she was dead by T3. Add that to the fact that Terminator creator James Cameron is having nothing to do with this trainwreck-in-the-making, and it doesn't take Will Hunting to come up with the final figures.
Though, on the upside, I'm sure Edward Furlong is hurting for rent money. Perhaps he can be coaxed out of rehab long enough for the season-long role of John Connor...

Well I'm optimistic. Kind of like when you have a lottery ticket. You know the odds are against anything really great happening, but it's fun to pretend that it could.
Who could they cast that would be as kick-ass as Linda Hamilton in that role?

I was under the impression that Dark Horse Comics (i think?) did some post T2 Sarah following called "Cybernetic Dawn", where even more Terminators were sent back. It was actually pretty compelling stuff, and I'm sure they could walk the same lines with the show.
I'm also sure that Fox wouldn't be afraid to muck up the timeline even further than T3 already managed to.

T2 fucked up the timeline pretty bad, too, and created one hell of a paradox. If you're going to hate T3 for that reason, then you should just consider everything after the first one to be garbage.
