CULTURE: Daily Show Beats Colbert for Emmy

One has won everything from the Television Critics' Award to the Peabody, while monopolizing its Emmy categories for years. The other is its excited kid brother, trying - and most would say succeeding wildly - to find its own ironic voice in the world of snarky news coverage.

But once again this year, nobody could trump The Daily Show with Jon Stewart at the 58th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards, as the show took awards for Outstanding Series and Outstanding Writing of a Variety, Music or Comedy Program. Will The Colbert Report ever be able to catch the giant that spawned it? Maybe, just not this year.

By the way, this would have been great as a section of a complete Emmy recap article, but on its own it's pretty lame.
