Priestess are a big band--not like Tommy Dorsey, they have a big sound, think Queens of the Stone Age meets Led Zeppelin. Their latest album is Hello Master and I got a chance to speak with guitarist/vocalist Mikey Heppner.
I saw these dudes a couple weeks ago with GWAR. I hadn't heard anything about them beforehand. They weren't bad at all, but I don't really remember too much...too busy trying to get drunk enough to forget the stupid band that played before them.
I've seen them at the MotorHead show in Montreal, their hometown. And actually met Mikey at Foufs... Do you still work there Mikey? Remember me, I had a big crush on Serge who worked there too. Ask Sal. I love their sound, mostly because I think Classic Rock needs new Classics... Drinking Music. rock and or roll
Wow you guys are big now. Don't let Rock Star Status go to your head
I saw them open for Dinosaur Jr and all I can say is I could not believe my eyes, something I only though was the stuff of legends of a by-gone era, a freakin' drum solo. It was long and it was good.
