I haven't seen this film in years. So i thought I would grab a copy and watch it.
I thought I remembered most of it off the top of my head anyway and I remember really enjoying it.
So all week I have been waiting for my copy to arrive singing the songs from it and scaring people like "magic dance" and walking around saying "take your head off".

I was able to watch 5 minutes before pausing it and laughing. Its really bad and cheesy.
Still Ludo is ace biggrin

♥ that movie!!!

And the Dark Crystal. You can't love the Labrinyth, but not love the Dark Crystal. I can't believe I used to watch both of those movies a lot as a little kid, but rewatching them now as an adult, they are pretty scary movies actually.

Good luck with that man... food bills aside, Ludo Logs have GOT to be intimidating... you'll need a forklift.

I love Labyrinth,(I have the soundtrack too) I watch it far too much but I was never that impressed by the Dark Crystal, maybe because I didn't watch it as a kid.

They used to sell both movies in a 2-pack. It made a perfect B-day gift for my brother one year.

Labrinyth is my favorite movie, but I've never actually made it through all of The Dark Crystal. The muppets in that movie scared me too much. My friends keep pressuring me into trying again, so maybe soon.

love Bowie in those tight, tight pants.

I love Labrinyth, but I never liked Dark Crystal.

When I was wee I used to lie on my bed and dangle my legs in the air and pretend to be David Bowie in the last part of Labrinyth where he's walking through the upside down maze singing that song.

A bit sad really. smile

Fun fact: the guy doing the crystal spinning is master contact juggler Michael Moschen (Wikipedia link). It wasn't really Bowie doing that fancy stuff. Michael stood behind him and watched what he was doing on a monitor. I tried my hand at contact juggling (and still even have my acrylic ball) but it's really hard.

This is the dude:

as a kid (and even now) i always liked Labyrinth better as an overall movie but liked the concept of the Mystics and Skeksies better as a theme. i hate the Gelflings and Podlings, though. ugh. the Dark Crystal would have been much better without the annoying androgynous main characters and their stupid little potato-like friends.

i always wanted a Mystic as a friend, though. AND a Ludo.
