Lately, food that normally tastes good to me has been tasting bad. Either I have been unlucky and getting bad food or not cooking it properly, or something is up with my sense of taste/smell. I've had this happen before, though I don't recall the circumstances around those times. Nothing is wrong with me physically that I know of, but I am under a lot of stress with school and my depression and anxiety are worse than usual. Is it possible that these maladies could lead to a change in sense of taste/smell?
That happens to me sometimes. The stress and depression are probably a major factor. People suffering from really severe depression often feel like their body is literally rotting and can even hear voices or manifest other symptoms of schitzophrenia. I would assume that your current state of mind is creating some mild hallucinations which, unfortunately, will tend to make your state of mind worse. Try to think lots and lots of happy thoughts and treat the bad thoughts like they are silly and poorly behaved children. You could be amazed at your minds ability to heal itself.
depression has definatly made me feel like my flesh and muscles were rotting off of my bones and i was just going to start falling apart walking down the street. it's awesome .
